Whether Hypnosis or Western Medicine works better for treating alcohol addiction has been and still is a heated debate topic. Medicines such as Naltrexone and Buporpion are prescription drugs that can stop alcohol abuse. Hypnosis also works to stop alcohol abuse by changing the attitude and behavior of the person. There is no clear winner, as both Hypnosis and Western Medicine work with dealing with alcohol abuse.
